Julia Louis-Dreyfus reveals the awkward moment she walked in on two naked men in an Austrian sauna

It sounds like one of the hilarious awkward plots her character Elaine Benes suffered through on Seinfeld.  

While shooting her latest film Downhill in Austria, Julia Louis-Dreyfus took time out of her busy schedule to go to the sauna.

But the 59-year-old's relaxation was cut short when she, while completely nude, walked in on two naked men already enjoying the steamy atmosphere.

 'Okay, so I will go naked in the sauna, but in Austria I walked in and there were two naked men there,' Julia told the Herald Sun.

She added: 'I just went, 'Boop!', turned around, and out I went! I am not comfortable in that situation, but no disrespect to anyone who is.' 

Julia was in Austria filming her latest movie Downhill, which she stars in alongside fellow SNL alum Will Ferrell, at the time. 

Julia told the Herald Sun on Saturday: 'I will go naked in the sauna, but in Austria I walked in and there were two naked men there. I just went, 'Boop!', turned around, and out I went!'

It follows a long-term married couple navigating their unraveling relationship while on holiday in Europe. 

The film finds humour in a bleak situation, which the comedic actress attempts to do in her everyday life. 

'There's a lot to be derived from finding humour in any situation, particularly if it's not a funny situation, frankly. That's helped me get through a lot of things in my life,' Julia told the publication.

Julia has gone from strength to strength since she rose to fame as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, before nabbing the role of outspoken and endlessly hilarious Elaine on Seinfeld. 

After the iconic show's conclusion in 1998, Julia went on to star in The New Adventures of Old Christine until 2010 and later Veep, which concluded last year.  

She has gone through her own personal struggles with her father and sister passing away in recent years, as well as being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. 

Julia is now in remission and won't be slowing down any time soon, revealing she feels she has her 'energy back', only doing projects that bring her 'joy'.
