Growth rings on 500-year-old clams reveal 'worrying' evidence of climate change

The oldest living animals in the world, quahog clams, have revealed 'worrying' data about man-made climate change. Scientists studied the growth rings on the shells of clams and were able to map out the oceans temperature over the past 1,000 years. Normally, changes in the Earth's climate and atmosphere are driven by natural changes in the ocean. But the study claims to reveal that this pattern has flipped since the industrial revolution, when humans started emitting large amounts of greenhouse gases. Read More...
